Town work is different from cottage work

Parry Sound sits on Georgian Bay at the edge of the 30,000 Islands, with the CPR trestle over the Seguin River in the middle of town and the deepest natural freshwater port in the world, they say, at the bottom of it. But the number that shapes the work is this one: at the last census only 321 of the town's 3,518 homes had no year-round residents, about 1 in 11. Out on the lakes, around half the properties are cottages; in town, people live here all year. So Parry Sound work is year-round work: the repair list ($149 call-out with the first hour included), pressure washing ($299 for a deck or dock up to 400 square feet), junk runs ($249 the half trailer, dump fees in), and interior renovations through the winter.
