SEGUIN PROPERTY CARE Call 289-380-0870

Wind, snow load, freezing rain, the spring melt

When the storm's been through, call

Limbs down, shingles gone, water where it shouldn't be. The storm call is $249 with the first hour included, and the first hour is usually the one that stops the damage getting worse.

Calls are answered in the order they come in; weekdays I'm on jobs, so leave the message and the same day you'll have a callback and a plan. Tarps, strapping, and plywood get billed like all materials: cost plus 15 percent.

What happens on a storm call

First job is stopping things getting worse: tarp what I can safely reach, shut the water, get the heat holding. What needs a roofer or a bucket truck, I tell you straight, and I get them moving. Second job is the camera, because your insurer wants dated photos of everything before and after, and you'll have them the same day. Third job is the honest list: what I can fix myself and for how much, and what can safely wait for spring.

Watch clients don't need to call: scheduled storm sweeps go out within 72 hours of a big blow where roads allow, in signup order, with a text on timing the same day.

If a tree is on hydro lines, that's Hydro One's call, not mine or yours. Stay away from it and report it first.
